We Practice Synchronized
Vinyasa Yoga

What does that mean? Synchronized Vinyasa is a unique style of vinyasa yoga that seamlessly pairs breath with movement. In class, we move and we breathe together, in flow, as a group. It sounds simple, but we think you’ll find it’s pretty powerful—both in class and out.

The room is heated to 95 degrees with 60 percent humidity to enable a great, comfortable sweat. Classes are challenging and rewarding, and while no two classes are ever the same, we aim to deliver a consistent experience every time. Beginners are welcome in every class.

Flow, Not Work

The concept of “flow” sounds a little abstract, but think of it like meditation in action. Being in a “flow state” means you’re fully conscious of whatever it is you’re doing. You feel yourself in that elusive state of “presence” everyone’s always talking about; you are 100 percent in the zone.

Why does it matter? For one thing, class won’t feel like “work.” You will leave feeling both accomplished and relaxed. But in the bigger picture, when you learn to move and breathe with a group of people—when you learn to use your breath and body awareness to enter flow in class—you will be able to do the same outside of class. By incorporating the principles of flow into class, we hope our students may experience more flow and presence in the rest of their lives.

Life-Changing Mindfulness
(and a Kickass Workout, Too)

PPY classes are challenging, yet accessible to all. Our students range in age from 14 through 70-something, and we love beginners.

The physical benefits include reduced stress and tension; stronger, longer, leaner muscles; and a cleansing sweat, which releases feel-good hormones and boosts immunity. Taking your body through its natural range of motion also improves skin and muscle tone, balance, circulation, and digestion.

But some of the more profound benefits may be what happens in your head. By learning to focus 100 percent of your awareness on your breath and body, you will experience markedly better focus in other areas of your life. By learning to feel comfortable in silence, you will begin to notice the space between you, your thoughts, and your impulses—and, in turn, gain better control over your reactions.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
