Begin Here


Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes early for your first class. We offer the use of a rental mat, mat towel and towel on the house with your first visit. Those items are available for rent later. You are welcome to pre-register online prior to class, but this isn’t necessary. 



Expect to sweat! Make sure to drink plenty of water during the day PRIOR to class so that you arrive already well hydrated. You may bring your own water bottle into class with you or we have bottled water and coconut water available for sale. It’s also important after class to drink plenty of water, possibly with electrolytes, to replace what you just sweat out.


Let your instructor know of any medical conditions, prior injuries, pregnancy, etc. BEFORE class. If in doubt, please get your doctor’s permission before taking class.


While we know that from time to time you may be running late, please make a habit of arriving in plenty of time so that you are on your mat and ready to practice when class starts. Your time is valuable. We start our classes on time.


If you need to leave class early, no problem, but please be sure to advise the teacher before class starts. Set up your mat near the door and try to leave quietly before the final resting pose so you don’t disturb other students.


If you are unsure of a yoga posture or have any questions, please ASK YOUR INSTRUCTOR before or after class.


PPY is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. We offer cubbies in the lobby and in the locker rooms. If you have something of particular value, we can keep it in the office for you during class. Cell phones and bags are not allowed inside of the studio.


Please don’t wear any strong perfume, cologne or lotion.


Yoga is one of the most natural things you can do for your body and mind. It can be challenging, yet approachable. There may be times when you feel uncomfortable because you are moving in new and dynamic ways.We encourage you to feel these sensations fully and breathe with awareness. If you feel any pain or are straining while doing yoga, please back off and take a break. We are all unique and have our own boundaries and abilities. Therefore, the key for a safe and fulfilling yoga practice is being gentle and aware!


First time at the studio you will be asked to fill out a studio waiver form. If you are under eighteen years old, there is an additional waiver that your parent or guardian will need to sign prior to your practice. You can save time by printing your waivers and filling them out at home.  Just bring them with you your first time.
